Imagine Two Squirrels...

Imagine two squirrels sitting on a branch.
One squirrel is holding a large acorn out to the other squirrel.
The other squirrel says “acorns are a substitute for the love you’ve never shown me”.
Poignant, yes.
But what it reveals is a difference in Love Languages (by Gary Chapmen).
The squirrel offering the acorn has a Love Language of giving and Receiving Gifts.
While the other squirrel has the Love Language
of Words of Affirmation.
They are communicating with one another,
just using different languages.
So instead of believing your partner “never”
expresses their love and affection towards you
step outside of your “country” and discover
the language your partner is speaking.
You might be surprised at how much love and affection is being expressed …. everyday.
